Why did my temporary email not receive a message?

Most temporary email messages arrive quickly, but delivery is not guaranteed. Delays can happen because of sender-side queues, disposable domain filters, network issues, or an expired inbox session.

Common reasons

  • The sender blocks disposable domains. Some websites do not accept temporary email addresses.
  • The message is delayed. Verification emails can take a few minutes during busy periods.
  • The inbox changed. If you generate a new address, messages sent to the previous address will not appear in the new inbox.
  • The address was typed incorrectly. Copy the address directly instead of retyping it.
  • The upstream mail service is unavailable. When this happens, Temphotmail shows an error instead of leaving the field on a loading state.

What to try

  1. Click the refresh button in the inbox.
  2. Wait one or two minutes and refresh again.
  3. Confirm that the address pasted into the other website exactly matches the address shown on Temphotmail.
  4. Generate a new address if the sender rejects the current one.
  5. Use your permanent email address for important accounts, recovery emails, banking, or government services.

Premium domains

Premium domains may improve compatibility with some senders, but no temporary email provider can guarantee acceptance by every website. Sender policies change frequently.
