How the service should behave

This page explains the expected behavior of the temporary inbox service. If an upstream provider is unavailable, the product shows an error instead of remaining in a loading state.

Temporary inbox generation

A temporary address is generated when the tool loads. If generation fails, refresh the page or try again later; do not rely on an address that has not appeared completely.

Inbox refresh

The inbox checks for messages while the tab is visible. You can also use the refresh control when a sender says a message has been sent.

Receive-only service

TempHotmail receives email but does not send it. This limitation reduces abuse risk and keeps the product focused on short-lived inbox use.

If a message is delayed

Delivery depends on the sender and the mail network. Wait a few minutes, confirm the address, refresh the inbox, and check whether the sender blocks disposable domains.
